Wild assign Jack Peart, Stevie Leskovar and Chase Wutzke to Iowa
Jack Peart, Stevie Leskovar and Chase Wutzke were sent to the AHL club; Mike Koster and William Rousseau will report to Iowa camp.
The Minnesota Wild reduced their NHL training camp roster to 43 players on Sept. 23, assigning defencemen Stevie Leskovar and Jack Peart and goaltender Chase Wutzke to the AHL's Iowa Wild. Minnesota also released defenceman Mike Koster and goaltender William Rousseau from professional tryout agreements, the club announced.
The PTO releases do not mean Koster and Rousseau are leaving the organization: Minnesota said both will report to Iowa's training camp. The three assigned players are joining the AHL club; the announcement does not guarantee a regular-season roster spot for any of the five.
Peart was Minnesota's second-round pick, 54th overall, in the 2021 NHL Draft. Leskovar was selected in the sixth round in 2024, and Wutzke in the fifth round that year. Leskovar and Wutzke have already appeared in Iowa's system; the AHL club reported assignments and recalls involving both players and the ECHL's Iowa Heartlanders during the 2025-26 season.
