Carter Verhaeghe’s three consecutive goals against the Seattle Kraken on Saturday, Oct. 17, made the Florida Panthers the first NHL team to record natural hat tricks in three straight games, according to Sportsnet.

Verhaeghe scored at 17:56 and 19:07 of the first period, then completed the hat trick at 6:02 of the second. His third put Florida ahead 4-1.

Brady Tkachuk had supplied natural hat tricks in Florida’s previous two games: Tuesday’s win over Columbus and Thursday’s 3-2 overtime victory against Vancouver. His winner against the Canucks came in overtime, following two third-period goals.

A natural hat trick consists of three consecutive goals by the same player without a goal by anyone else in between.
