TNT brings opening-night studio show to Flyers fans in Philadelphia

The broadcast from Stateside Live featured TNT’s regular panel, Keith Jones, Gary Bettman and a pregame interview with Trevor Zegras.

TNT began its 2026-27 NHL studio coverage at Stateside Live in Philadelphia on September 30, bringing its panel into a crowd of Flyers fans before the club’s home opener against the Pittsburgh Penguins.

The 90-minute pregame programme originated in the South Philadelphia Sports Complex, near Xfinity Mobile Arena. Host Liam McHugh was joined by Wayne Gretzky, Henrik Lundqvist, Anson Carter and Paul Bissonnette. NHL.com reported that fans could pass items across the glass separating the audience from the set for autographs.

The Flyers helped arrange the production, which gave supporters a chance to attend the broadcast during the opening-night festivities. Philadelphia president of hockey operations Keith Jones, previously part of TNT’s broadcast team, appeared as a guest, as did NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman.

Charles Barkley also joined the panel for its pregame conversation with Flyers centre Trevor Zegras, who took part from the arena during warmups. The crew remained on location for TNT’s season-opening doubleheader.
