Tkachuk brothers invite Jason Kelce to skate before Panthers opener

Matthew and Brady Tkachuk appeared on ESPN’s Monday Night Countdown ahead of Florida’s NHL opener at Carolina.

Florida Panthers teammates Matthew Tkachuk and Brady Tkachuk appeared in a prerecorded video on ESPN's “Monday Night Countdown” on Monday, before the Philadelphia Eagles played the Chicago Bears.

The brothers greeted hosts Jason Kelce and Pat McAfee. Brady said he was excited to play alongside Matthew in Florida. Matthew then invited Kelce onto the ice: “Jason, I've seen you skate. Come lace them up with us.”

Florida opens the 2026-27 NHL season at the Carolina Hurricanes on Tuesday at 5 p.m. ET. The game is the first of ESPN's opening-night tripleheader.
