Stars sign David Perron to one-year, $850,000 contract

Dallas confirmed the forward’s deal for the 2026-27 season on Friday.

The Dallas Stars signed David Perron to a one-year contract worth $850,000 for the 2026-27 season, the club announced Friday, Oct. 16.

The agreement gives Dallas another experienced forward. General manager Jim Nill said Perron’s competitiveness, leadership and ability in important situations would help the club.

Perron recorded 13 goals and 15 assists in 65 regular-season games with Ottawa and Detroit last season. NHL.com said he had been an unrestricted free agent since July 1.
