Stars look to end three-game skid in rematch with Wolves

Chicago erased a two-goal deficit to win the clubs’ first meeting. Texas hosts the next two games on Friday and Saturday.

The Texas Stars return to Cedar Park on Friday with a three-game losing streak that began against the team they’re about to face twice. The Chicago Wolves scored five unanswered goals to beat Texas 6–3 in Rosemont on Oct. 31.

Texas followed that loss with a 4–3 defeat at Rockford on Sunday and a 6–2 loss at Grand Rapids on Wednesday. Mike Sgarbossa scored in Grand Rapids and leads the Stars with seven goals and 11 points in 11 games. Texas enters the rematch at 2-7-1-1.

Chicago is 5-5-0-1 after a 5–1 loss to Grand Rapids on Sunday. That defeat ended a two-game winning streak and a six-game point streak. Rookie forward Charlie Cerrato scored the Wolves’ only goal, the first of his professional career.

Both games start at 7 p.m. CT at H-E-B Center at Cedar Park and stream on AHLTV on FloHockey.
