Sharks reassign Mattias Havelid to Barracuda
San Jose announced the move Wednesday after listing the defenceman as a non-roster player to start the season.
San Jose reassigned defenceman Mattias Havelid to the San Jose Barracuda on Wednesday, the Sharks’ media relations department announced.
The 22-year-old was listed as a non-roster player in the Sharks’ Sept. 28 season-opening roster announcement.
Pro Hockey Rumors reported that an upper-body injury had kept him out of training camp, the preseason and the rookie showcase.
Havelid recorded five goals and 15 points in 44 games for the Barracuda in 2025-26. The right-shot defenceman was selected 45th overall in the second round of the 2022 NHL Draft.
