Sharks Plan Free Street Festival for Opening Night on Oct. 1
San Jose is throwing a full block party outside SAP Center to welcome Macklin Celebrini and the 2026-27 season.
The San Jose Sharks are turning the area around SAP Center into a fan festival on Oct. 1 before their home opener against the Florida Panthers, the club announced Thursday.
The free street festival, presented by Ticketmaster, runs from 3 to 6 p.m. and will include player and special guest interviews, local food vendors, giveaways, and family-friendly entertainment. Sharks in-arena personalities will host throughout the afternoon. Everyone attending the game will receive a concert tee featuring Macklin Celebrini and Will Smith as part of the WillMack promotion.
Fans are encouraged to be in their seats by 6:45 p.m. for special pregame presentations and player introductions before puck drop. The Sharks are also debuting a new goal song for the 2026-27 season, which the crowd at SAP Center will hear for the first time when San Jose scores its first regular-season goal.
Opening Weekend continues Oct. 3 against the Los Angeles Kings, with a SaMisa poster giveaway featuring Sam Dickinson and Michael Misa for fans in attendance. The San Jose Barracuda also host their AHL home opener that afternoon at Tech CU Arena at 3 p.m.
The Sharks are framing the weekend around their "Turn It All Teal" campaign, encouraging supporters across the Bay Area to wear teal whether or not they have tickets to the game. More information is available on the Sharks' Turn It All Teal campaign page.
