Senators recall Jorian Donovan from Belleville
Ottawa called up the left-shot defenceman Monday after he played Belleville’s first two games of the season.
The Ottawa Senators recalled defenceman Jorian Donovan from the Belleville Senators on Monday, Oct. 5, the club announced. The call-up came ahead of Ottawa’s game against the Boston Bruins.
Donovan had missed time with an unspecified injury during training camp before returning to play Belleville’s first two games of the AHL season over the weekend. He recorded four shots and no points in those games, according to Ottawa.
The left-shot defenceman made his NHL debut last spring and appeared in two games for the Senators. Ottawa selected him in the fifth round, 136th overall, in the 2022 NHL Draft.
Donovan is entering his third professional season. He finished last season with four goals and 17 assists for 21 points in the AHL.
