The Ottawa Senators recalled defenceman Hoyt Stanley from the Belleville Senators ahead of their home opener against the Philadelphia Flyers on Thursday, Oct. 8, the club announced.

Stanley played in Belleville's first two regular-season games last weekend and did not record a point. He also appeared in six games for the AHL club near the end of last season.

Ottawa selected the West Vancouver, B.C., native in the fourth round, 108th overall, of the 2023 NHL Draft. He signed a three-year entry-level contract beginning in the 2026-27 season after completing his third season at Cornell.

In that final college season, Stanley recorded three goals and 12 assists for 15 points, all personal bests, according to Ottawa's contract announcement.
