Senators loan nine to Belleville after eight clear waivers

Ottawa completes eight waiver-dependent assignments, sends Jorian Donovan to Belleville and sets its NHL roster at 23 players.

The Ottawa Senators loaned nine players to the Belleville Senators on Monday, including eight who had cleared waivers, the NHL club announced. Ottawa also reduced its roster to 23 players.

Samuel Blais, Philip Tomasino, Samuel Bolduc, Tyler Boucher, Xavier Bourgault, Philippe Daoust, Ryan Suzuki and Christian Kyrou cleared waivers and were loaned to Belleville. Defenceman Jorian Donovan was also assigned to the AHL affiliate.

Ottawa released Ben Hutton from his professional tryout. Warren Foegele, Kurtis MacDermid and Artem Zub were designated injured, non-roster players.
