Senators acquire goaltender Jonas Johansson from Lightning

Ottawa sends future considerations to Tampa Bay for the 31-year-old goaltender.

The Ottawa Senators acquired goaltender Jonas Johansson from the Tampa Bay Lightning on Friday in exchange for future considerations, both clubs announced.

Johansson played 25 games for Tampa Bay in 2025-26, posting an 11-10-2 record, a 3.29 goals-against average and an .884 save percentage. Ottawa’s announcement says he has appeared in 105 NHL games over his career.

The Sabres selected Johansson in the third round, 61st overall, of the 2014 NHL Draft. He turned 31 on Sept. 19.
