Seguin returns from torn ACL in Stars preseason win over Wild
The Dallas forward played 13:57 in Friday's preseason win at Minnesota, his first game since tearing his right ACL in December.
Tyler Seguin returned to the Dallas Stars lineup Friday for his first game since tearing the ACL in his right knee last December. He played 13:57, finished plus-1 and helped Dallas beat the Minnesota Wild 2-1 in a preseason game, according to NHL.com.
Seguin was injured Dec. 2 during an overtime loss to the New York Rangers and underwent surgery Dec. 16. Before the injury, he had seven goals and 10 assists in 27 games for Dallas.
"It's great. Feels like your first game all over again," Seguin told NHL.com. He said he was glad to have the return behind him and enjoyed being back in a game.
Dallas opens the regular season against the St. Louis Blues on Oct. 2. Coach Glen Gulutzan also expects forwards Matt Duchene and Colin Blackwell, who sat out Friday, to be available for that opener.
