Red Wings claim defenceman Andreas Englund off waivers from Flames

Detroit confirmed the waiver claim; Englund played 200 NHL games before the move.

The Detroit Red Wings claimed defenceman Andreas Englund off waivers from the Calgary Flames, the club confirmed.

Englund, 30, played three NHL games for Nashville in 2025-26 and recorded 13 points (three goals, 10 assists) in 52 games for the AHL’s Milwaukee Admirals. He has 20 points in 200 NHL regular-season games across five clubs.
