Red Wings assign Carter Gylander to Grand Rapids
The goaltender returns to Detroit’s AHL affiliate ahead of the Griffins’ Friday opener in Cleveland.
The Detroit Red Wings assigned goaltender Carter Gylander to the Grand Rapids Griffins on Monday, the AHL club announced. Grand Rapids opens its regular season Friday at the Cleveland Monsters.
Gylander played eight AHL games for the Griffins in 2025-26, going 7-0-1 with a 1.62 goals-against average and a .942 save percentage. Detroit re-signed him to a one-year, two-way contract in July.
