Rangers assign defenceman Vincent Iorio to Hartford Wolf Pack

The 23-year-old defenceman returns to the AHL after playing six games for New York last season.

Vincent Iorio is heading to the Hartford Wolf Pack after the New York Rangers assigned the defenceman to their AHL affiliate on Wednesday, Sept. 30. Rangers president and general manager Chris Drury announced the move.

The 23-year-old made six appearances for New York in 2025-26. Earlier that season, he contributed three assists in 21 NHL games for San Jose. His six outings with the Sharks' AHL affiliate, the San Jose Barracuda, yielded seven assists.

Iorio, from Coquitlam, B.C., has accumulated 11 goals and 52 assists over 196 AHL regular-season games with Hershey and the Barracuda. He was part of Hershey's Calder Cup championship teams in 2023 and 2024.
