PWHL Las Vegas names 29 players to training camp roster
The expansion club will open camp at America First Center on Nov. 18, after the world championship wraps in Denmark.
PWHL Las Vegas has named 29 players to its inaugural training camp roster, with camp opening Wednesday, Nov. 18 at America First Center.
The group is 16 forwards, nine defenders and four goaltenders. Eighteen are already signed for 2026-27, and 16 played on PWHL teams last season. Camp starts after the 2026 IIHF Women's World Championship in Denmark, which runs Nov. 6-16.
"We've assembled a talented, competitive group with a great mix of skill, experience and potential, and camp will be an important first step in establishing our identity, building chemistry and setting the standard for what PWHL Vegas will be," general manager Dominique DiDia said.
The list includes Tessa Janecke and Lacey Eden. Kendall Butze was the only defender Las Vegas took in the draft.
The goaltending group is Logan Angers, Lauren Bench, Nicole Hensley and Saskia Maurer. The blue line features Erin Ambrose, formerly of the Montréal Victoire, and Mae Batherson, Madison Bizal and Kendall Cooper, all of whom played for the Minnesota Frost last season.
Camp includes two preseason scrimmages at America First Center, against the Minnesota Frost and the Vancouver Goldeneyes. The Goldeneyes game is set for Tuesday, Nov. 24.
The regular season opens Sunday, Dec. 6 at T-Mobile Arena against PWHL Detroit at 5 p.m. PT. Single-game tickets go on sale Friday, Oct. 9 at 10 a.m. PT.
