Providence Bruins Camp Opens Monday as Boston Starts Preseason
Boston’s official training camp schedule places Providence’s opening on Sept. 21, between the Bruins’ first two exhibition games.
The Providence Bruins are scheduled to open training camp Monday, Sept. 21, according to the Boston Bruins’ official camp schedule. Boston begins its four-game preseason Sunday against the Washington Capitals at TD Garden, then hosts the Philadelphia Flyers on Tuesday.
Boston opened NHL camp with 49 players on its roster. Providence’s camp start is the next step in sorting players between the two clubs, but Boston has not announced which players will be assigned to the AHL team. Any roster moves should be confirmed by the clubs before specific assignments are reported.
The Bruins’ remaining exhibition games are Thursday at Philadelphia and Friday at Washington. Boston opens the regular season Sept. 29 at home against the New York Rangers. The official schedule lists Providence’s camp opening for Monday but does not specify a first on-ice practice time.
