Predators recall goaltender Matt Murray from Milwaukee ahead of Dallas game
Nashville called up the Admirals netminder with backup Justus Annunen believed to be sick.
The Nashville Predators recalled goaltender Matt Murray from the AHL's Milwaukee Admirals on Saturday, Oct. 3, ahead of tonight's game against Dallas, the club announced.
Nick Kieser of Lower Broad Pucks reported that backup Justus Annunen was at the rink yesterday but did not practice, and Annunen is believed to be sick. If he can't dress, Murray is the option.
Murray is 28 and in his third season in Nashville's organization. He has had a handful of recalls but has yet to play a game for the Predators.
With the Admirals last season he played 47 games, posting a 2.83 GAA and a .904 save percentage.
Nashville had one open roster spot before the recall, so no other move was needed to make room for him.
