Predators claim defenceman William Trudeau from Rangers

The 23-year-old joins Nashville after four AHL seasons with Laval.

The Nashville Predators claimed defenceman William Trudeau off waivers from the New York Rangers on Saturday, the club announced.

Trudeau, 23, had joined the Rangers in a June 26 trade with the Montreal Canadiens. He has spent the past four seasons with the AHL's Laval Rocket, including 2025-26, when he had eight goals and 20 points in 62 games.
