Predators assign Ozzy Wiesblatt to Milwaukee as camp roster shrinks

Nashville confirmed the forward's AHL assignment Thursday, one day after placing him on waivers; its camp roster stands at 32.

The Nashville Predators assigned forward Ozzy Wiesblatt to the Milwaukee Admirals of the American Hockey League on Thursday, the club announced. Nashville said its training camp roster is now at 32 players: 17 forwards, 11 defencemen and four goaltenders.

The assignment followed a separate move Wednesday, when Wiesblatt was placed on waivers. Nashville assigned seven other players to Milwaukee that day; Wiesblatt was not on that assignment list. The new announcement confirms his assignment to the AHL affiliate.

The Predators did not provide further details about the transaction in their announcement.
