Polin scores twice as Amerks rout Crunch 7-1

Two power-play goals from Jason Polin helped the Rochester Americans defeat the Syracuse Crunch 7-1 on Friday, Oct. 9, at Blue Cross Arena. Polin also contributed an assist.

Rochester pulled away with four goals in the second period, including all three of its power-play goals, and entered the third ahead 6-1. The Americans converted three of their seven opportunities with the extra skater.

The win gave Rochester five points from its first three games and a 2-0-0-1 record. Syracuse fell to 1-2-0-0. Rochester next visits the Utica Comets on Saturday, Oct. 10, for a 6 p.m. game at NBT Bank Arena.
