Perfetti plays 300th NHL game, Ferraro reaches 500 with Jets
The Winnipeg teammates reached career games-played milestones Thursday against the Dallas Stars.
Cole Perfetti played his 300th NHL game and Mario Ferraro appeared in his 500th when the Winnipeg Jets visited the Dallas Stars on Thursday, Oct. 22. Winnipeg confirmed both milestones after the game, and Illegal Curve also reported them.
Before the game, Perfetti told the Jets' website that reaching another hundred appearances gave him a chance to consider how his game had changed. He said he felt more confident and better prepared for the demands of the NHL than when he began his career.
Perfetti has been playing on Winnipeg's top line with Mark Scheifele and Kyle Connor. Coach Scott Arniel said the forward had learned how to make his skills useful at the NHL level while continuing to improve.
Arniel also praised Ferraro's communication and competitiveness. He said the defenceman had brought an outgoing personality to the dressing room and made a positive impression since joining Winnipeg.
