Penguins assign Brunicke, Zonnon and Blomqvist to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton

Pittsburgh announced three more training camp assignments to its AHL affiliate on Sunday.

The Pittsburgh Penguins assigned forward Bill Zonnon, defenceman Harrison Brunicke and goaltender Joel Blomqvist to the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins on Sunday, the NHL club announced.

The three remained in Pittsburgh's camp after an earlier round of cuts on Sept. 25. In that separate move, the club assigned four forwards to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton. Sunday's announcement adds Zonnon, Brunicke and Blomqvist to the affiliate ahead of Pittsburgh's regular season opener at Philadelphia on Wednesday.
