The Florida Panthers head into Tuesday’s road-trip finale against the Los Angeles Kings with a 3-1 edge in five-on-five goals through their first three games. The matchup at Crypto.com Arena begins at 10 p.m. ET on Oct. 6.

Florida is 1-0-2 after a 3-2 overtime loss in Anaheim. The Kings are still seeking their first win at 0-1-1, following a 5-4 overtime defeat in San Jose on Saturday.

Sam Reinhart praised Florida’s defensive play and goaltending while saying the Panthers want to produce more offence. The club’s game preview reported that Florida had allowed just one five-on-five goal through its first three outings.

Coach Paul Maurice expects Los Angeles to push the tempo under Peter Laviolette, describing the Kings as fast and aggressive.

Reinhart also noted the change in Los Angeles after Anze Kopitar’s retirement at the end of last season, while cautioning that the Kings still have players capable of creating chances.
