William Nylander missed the Toronto Maple Leafs’ morning skate on Monday, Oct. 19, because of an illness. His availability for the home game against the San Jose Sharks remained uncertain. The game starts at 7:30 p.m. ET.

NHL.com listed Nylander as questionable.

Nylander has five goals and seven assists in nine games this season. Toronto is already without John Tavares, who is week to week with a lower-body injury.

The Maple Leafs enter Monday’s game after three consecutive losses, including Saturday’s loss to the New York Islanders.
