Nick and Ryan Suzuki take opening faceoff in first NHL matchup

Nick Suzuki and his younger brother Ryan took the opening faceoff against each other Saturday as the Montreal Canadiens hosted the Ottawa Senators in a split-squad preseason game. Ryan won the draw at centre ice, according to the NHL game record. It was their first matchup at the NHL level, Sportsnet reported.

Sportsnet reported that the teams' coaches arranged the opening draw and that the brothers' parents watched from the stands. Nick is the Canadiens' captain; Ryan is a Senators forward.
