Degree became the NHL’s official deodorant partner under a multiyear agreement in the United States announced Tuesday, Oct. 6.

The partnership includes advertising on digitally enhanced dasherboards, activities at major NHL events and campaigns in stores, on social media and involving players. The league and the Unilever brand plan to announce more fan programmes during the season.

Chris Symmes, Degree’s head of marketing, said hockey’s pace and intensity suited the brand. Jason Jazayeri, the NHL’s group vice president of business development, said the partners would develop activities to engage fans.

The announcement did not give a dollar value or a specific number of years for the agreement.
