Moose’s Kieron Walton skating ahead of team after lower-body injury
Coach Mark Morrison reported progress Tuesday as Manitoba prepared for its first road trip.

Manitoba Moose forward Kieron Walton skated before the rest of the team Tuesday as he continued recovering from a lower-body injury, coach Mark Morrison told Illegal Curve Hockey.
Morrison described the skate as a positive step. Walton was the only player absent from the team’s morning session after Manitoba took Monday off. No date for his return was given.
The Moose opened the AHL season with a pair of home wins over the Chicago Wolves: 3-0 on Saturday, Oct. 3, and 8-3 on Sunday, Oct. 4. Manitoba is scheduled to practise again Wednesday before its first road trip.
