Mittelstadt has three assists as Laval beats Syracuse 6-1

Luke Mittelstadt had three assists in the Laval Rocket's 6-1 victory over the Syracuse Crunch on Saturday, Oct. 3, CBS Sports reported.

Laval scored three times in the second period and added three more in the third after Syracuse took an early lead. The Rocket finished 3-for-5 on the power play; the Crunch went 1-for-4, according to Syracuse's official game report.

The result left both teams 1-1-0-0 after their first weekend of the AHL season. Syracuse had won Friday's opener 2-0, so Laval earned a split of the two games at Place Bell.
