Manitoba Moose Open Training Camp Ahead of Wednesday Reinforcements
Manitoba's camp began Monday with a roster built largely from tryout players, ECHL affiliates and local college players while most of the club's roster remains with Winnipeg.
The Manitoba Moose opened their 2026-27 training camp Monday with a 10:30 a.m. CT on-ice session at Hockey for All Centre and a roster that is expected to change substantially before the regular season.
Most of the organization's players remain with the Winnipeg Jets. Manitoba's initial camp group includes AHL-contracted players, members of the club's new ECHL affiliate in Bloomington, University of Manitoba Bisons players and tryout invitees.
The seven listed defensemen are Dawson Barteaux, Evan Nause, Tyler Rubin, Sam Sedley, Dylan Finlay, Landon Fuller and Dylan Moulton. The forward group includes Tyson Empey, Mikey Milne, Grant Porter, Tyler Young, Deni Goure, Chase Yoder, Sullivan Mack, Parker Lindauer, Erik Pastro, Riley Wood, Dakota Seaman, Brandon Funk and Teague McAllister.
Manitoba also announced 14 professional tryout agreements: goaltender Evan Cormier; defensemen Finlay, Fuller, Moulton, Rubin and Sedley; and forwards Funk, Lindauer, McAllister, Pastro, Porter, Seaman, Wood and Young.
The Moose expect an influx of players Wednesday, when the Jets are off after two home preseason games and are expected to make cuts.
Manitoba repeats its camp schedule Tuesday and Wednesday before traveling to St. Paul, Minnesota, on Thursday for exhibition games against Iowa on Friday and Saturday. They will be the Moose's first AHL preseason games in seven years.
