Lightning seek second straight win as Flyers visit Monday
Tampa Bay continues its first homestand of the season Monday night at Benchmark International Arena with Philadelphia in town.
The Tampa Bay Lightning go for a second consecutive win Monday, Oct. 5, when the Philadelphia Flyers visit Benchmark International Arena. Puck drop is 7 p.m. ET, and the pregame show starts at 6:30 p.m. ET on The Spot (Tampa Bay 66).
The Lightning are in the middle of their first homestand of the season.
The lines from Saturday, subject to change, were Gage Goncalves, Brayden Point and Nikita Kucherov up front on the top line, with Brandon Hagel, Anthony Cirelli and Jake Guentzel on the second. On defence, J.J. Moser played with John Carlson, Ryan McDonagh with Erik Cernak, and Victor Hedman with Emil Lilleberg.
Tampa Bay has had the better of this series. The Lightning won all three meetings with the Flyers last season, scoring 15 goals and allowing three. Kucherov had nine points in those three games, and Hagel had four goals and six points.
Andrei Vasilevskiy won both of his appearances against Philadelphia last season, posting a .950 save percentage and one shutout.
The homestand continues Thursday against the Minnesota Wild. Tampa Bay then travels to face the New York Islanders on Saturday and the New York Rangers on Tuesday, October 13.
