Lightning cut 21 players from camp, leaving 37 on roster

The Tampa Bay Lightning reduced their training camp roster by 21 players on Friday, the club announced. Ten were assigned to the Syracuse Crunch of the AHL, eight were released from professional tryouts, and three were placed on waivers for the purpose of reassignment.

The waivers apply to Simon Lundmark, Olivier Rodrigue and Steven Santini. Luke Glendening and Kole Lind were among the eight players released from their tryouts.

Tampa Bay said 37 players remained in camp: 22 forwards, 12 defencemen and three goaltenders.
