Lightning cut 11 from camp, leaving 26 on roster
Tampa Bay assigned four players to Syracuse, released two tryouts and placed five on waivers for reassignment.
The Tampa Bay Lightning reduced their training camp roster by 11 players Sunday, leaving 26 in camp: 16 forwards, eight defencemen and two goaltenders, the club announced.
Tampa Bay assigned Dylan Duke, Lucas Mercuri, Sam O’Reilly and Noah Steen to its AHL affiliate, the Syracuse Crunch. The club released Matteo Pietroniro and Jarred Tinordi from their professional tryouts.
Nicholas Abruzzese, Michael Callahan, Maxim Groshev, Mads Sogaard and Jakob Pelletier were placed on waivers for the purpose of reassignment. Any assignment for those five depends on clearing waivers.
