Lightning assign forward Jansen Harkins to AHL Syracuse
Tampa Bay sends the 29-year-old, signed as a free agent in July, to the Crunch after one NHL game this season.
The Tampa Bay Lightning have assigned forward Jansen Harkins to the Syracuse Crunch of the American Hockey League, general manager Julien BriseBois announced Wednesday.
Harkins, 29, has played one game with the Lightning this season. He logged 10:55 of ice time with one shot on goal and five hits. Tampa Bay signed him as a free agent on July 3, 2026.
The Cleveland native has appeared in 306 NHL games with the Lightning, Anaheim Ducks, Pittsburgh Penguins and Winnipeg Jets, with 18 goals and 45 points. He has also played 225 AHL games with the San Diego Gulls, Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins and Manitoba Moose, scoring 62 goals and 161 points.
Winnipeg drafted him 47th overall in the second round of the 2015 NHL Draft.
