Kraken Place John Hayden on Waivers for AHL Reassignment

The 31-year-old forward can be assigned to Coachella Valley if he clears.

The Seattle Kraken placed forward John Hayden on waivers Monday for the purpose of assigning him to the AHL's Coachella Valley Firebirds.

Hayden, 31, spent most of last season with Coachella Valley and made three NHL appearances for Seattle in October without recording a point. He also dressed for the Kraken in Sunday's preseason win at Calgary.

If Hayden clears waivers, Seattle can assign him to the Firebirds. Another NHL club can claim him before the waiver period expires.
