Kings trim camp roster to 29, send waiver group toward Ontario
Los Angeles placed five players on waivers for a planned assignment to Ontario and loaned five others directly to its AHL affiliate.
The Los Angeles Kings reduced their training camp roster to 29 players Thursday, placing five players on waivers for the purpose of assignment to the Ontario Reign, their American Hockey League affiliate.
Forwards Martin Chromiak, Cole Guttman, Lane Pederson and Francesco Pinelli, plus defenceman Joe Hicketts, were placed on waivers. The club loaned Aatu Jamsen, Koehn Ziemmer, Angus Booth, Kirill Kirsanov and Jared Woolley to Ontario.
The Kings also placed Jan Jenik and Jakub Dvorak on injured non-roster status and returned Liam Lefebvre to Cape Breton of the QMJHL.
Los Angeles now has 17 forwards, nine defencemen and three goaltenders in camp. The Kings are scheduled to host Anaheim on Saturday, Sept. 26, in their fourth and final preseason game.
