Kirill Kaprizov became the first NHL player to reach 10 goals this season as the Minnesota Wild defeated the Columbus Blue Jackets 2-1 on Sunday, Oct. 18, at Grand Casino Arena.

His power-play goal at 3:06 of the second period settled the scoring. Kaprizov beat Cam Talbot from a tight angle in the left circle, extending his point streak to six games. He has seven goals and five assists during that run.

Danila Yurov put Minnesota ahead at 18:12 of the opening period, converting a Yakov Trenin pass on an odd-man rush. Adam Fantilli tied it exactly a minute later with a shot from the right circle during a delayed penalty against the Wild.

Jesper Wallstedt finished with 13 saves. Talbot stopped 32 of Minnesota's 34 shots.

The Wild improved to 6-2-1 and remained unbeaten through four home games. Columbus fell to 3-4-0 with its third loss in four games.
