Kapanen scores as Oilers finish unbeaten preseason with 4-1 win over Flames

The Edmonton Oilers completed a 4-0-0 preseason with a 4-1 win over the Calgary Flames on Saturday at Rogers Place. Kasperi Kapanen scored once and assisted on another goal, and Devon Levi stopped 23 of 24 shots.
Zach Hyman opened the scoring on a first-period power play. Connor McDavid and Ryan Shea added second-period goals to put Edmonton ahead 3-0. Matt Coronato scored on a Calgary power play in the third before Kapanen answered 1:46 later. Ryan Nugent-Hopkins had two assists.
The Oilers conceded five goals over their four preseason games. The team opens its regular season at home against the Vancouver Canucks on Tuesday.
