Johansson, Peschel and Ljungblom Earn T25U25 Honorable Mentions

Thea Johansson, Emma Peschel and Lina Ljungblom received honorable mentions in The Ice Garden’s 2026 Top 25 Under 25 ranking.

Johansson, 23, was selected by the Vancouver Goldeneyes with the 17th overall pick in the second round of the 2026 PWHL Draft after playing at Minnesota Duluth. She led Sweden in scoring at the 2026 Olympic Winter Games, finishing with seven points in seven games.

Peschel, 22, was taken seventh overall by the New York Sirens after a career-best senior season at Ohio State. The 5-foot-10 defender recorded 10 goals and 29 assists for 39 points in 34 games and earned First Team All-WCHA honors for a second consecutive season.

Ljungblom earned an honorable mention for the second straight year in her final season of eligibility. The Montréal Victoire forward missed the first eight games of 2025-26 because of illness, then recorded nine points during the regular season and scored in Montréal’s Walter Cup-clinching victory.

The three selections reflect different stages of PWHL development: Johansson and Peschel are entering the league after the 2026 draft, while Ljungblom is preparing for a larger role in Montréal.
