Jets Loan Eight to Moose, Release Four From Tryouts
Colby Barlow is among eight players sent to Manitoba; the Moose also released five players from their own tryouts.
The Winnipeg Jets loaned eight players to the Manitoba Moose on Wednesday and released four others from professional tryout agreements, the NHL club announced.
The players loaned to Manitoba are goaltender Isaac Poulter, defenceman Alfons Freij and forwards Colby Barlow, Kevin He, Jacob Julien, Fabian Wagner, Lucas Wahlin and Kieron Walton.
Winnipeg released defencemen Lukas Gustafsson, Dysin Mayo and Ashton Sautner and forward Davis Burnside from their Jets tryouts. That is a separate transaction from the eight loans to the Moose.
Manitoba also released five players from its own tryout agreements Wednesday: goaltender Evan Cormier, defenceman Dylan Finlay and forwards Brandon Funk, Teague McAllister and Erik Pastro, according to a Moose news release.
The Moose play the Iowa Wild in St. Paul, Minnesota, on Friday, Sept. 25, and Saturday, Sept. 26. Both preseason games start at 2 p.m. CT. Manitoba opens the regular season at home against the Chicago Wolves on Oct. 3.
