Islanders, Rangers Set Veteran-Heavy Lineups at MSG

The New York Islanders visit the New York Rangers at Madison Square Garden on Tuesday at 7 p.m. ET, the second preseason game for both teams.

Islanders coach Pete DeBoer said he planned to use a veteran group Tuesday rather than have his regulars play in Friday and Saturday's home back-to-back. The Rangers are also expected to dress a veteran-heavy lineup.

The Islanders opened their preseason with a 2-1 loss to the New Jersey Devils on Sunday. Cole Eiserman scored their lone goal on a power play 55 seconds into the second period.

The Rangers began their exhibition schedule Monday with a 3-2 loss in New Jersey.
