IceHogs Open Season at BMO Center Against Milwaukee Admirals Saturday
Rockford hosts Milwaukee at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 3, for a White-Out home opener after sweeping the Admirals in the preseason.
The Rockford IceHogs open their 2026-27 regular season Saturday, October 3, at 7:00 p.m. at the BMO Center against the Milwaukee Admirals.
The IceHogs and Admirals met twice in the preseason, and Rockford won both. The second was Monday's annual School Day Game, which Rockford took 3-2 before a full building. Jake Furlong scored top shelf with under 15 seconds left to settle a back-and-forth game, and Drew Commesso made 30 saves.
The opponent is a familiar one. Milwaukee was also the visitor for last season's opener at the BMO Center on Oct. 11, 2025, when the IceHogs won 3-2 in overtime. Samuel Savoie scored the winner and Commesso stopped 35 shots.
There is a party before puck drop. Hard Rock Casino presents an Opening Night Block Party beforehand, and each of the first 3,000 fans at the party gets a free T-shirt. Inside, Rockford will wear its alternate all-white Screw City uniforms for White-Out night.
October is a full month. Rockford has nine games on the October schedule: home-and-away series with Iowa and Grand Rapids, a trip to Toronto, and a Halloween Eve homestand against Manitoba.
