Hurricanes place Cayden Primeau on waivers for Chicago assignment

Carolina announced the move Wednesday as it seeks to reassign the goaltender to its AHL affiliate, the Chicago Wolves.

The Carolina Hurricanes placed goaltender Cayden Primeau on waivers Wednesday for the purpose of sending him to their AHL affiliate, the Chicago Wolves, general manager Eric Tulsky announced.

The assignment depends on Primeau clearing waivers.

Primeau helped Chicago reach the 2026 Calder Cup Final, going 9-9-0 in 18 playoff appearances, according to the Hurricanes.
