Hurricanes get their Stanley Cup rings, all 900-plus stones of them
Carolina handed out its 2026 championship hardware at a private team event Sunday, two days before opening night.
The Carolina Hurricanes got their 2026 Stanley Cup championship rings on Sunday, and subtle was not the design brief.
The rings were presented at a private team event after the Hurricanes finished their preseason schedule. Designed by luxury jeweller Jason of Beverly Hills, each one carries more than 900 individual stones, including 9.80 carats of diamonds and 1.4 carats of red rubies.
The ring top comes off. Inside is a puck pendant, with a likeness of Stormy, the team's mascot, beneath it.
The underside of that removable top shows the North Carolina state flag, circled by each player's jersey number. It is a nod to the Storm Surge, the victory celebration Carolina fans know well.
One side of each ring is personalized with the player's last name, signature and jersey number. The other side carries the team's alternate storm flag logo and the words "Stress Game," engraved as a tribute to the relentless, aggressive style the Hurricanes played on the way to the title.
The underside of the ring records Carolina's result in each round of its playoff run. The Hurricanes went 16-3 on the way to the Cup.
That run is now in the books. The title defence starts Tuesday on opening night of the 2026-27 NHL season.
