An illness is circulating through the Carolina Hurricanes as they prepare to face the St. Louis Blues on Saturday, Oct. 24. Coach Rod Brind’Amour disclosed the problem before the final game of Carolina’s five-game road trip.

Brind’Amour said “the excuse jar is full,” making clear that he still expected a strong effort from his players. The club’s pregame report did not identify which players were affected.

Pyotr Kochetkov is expected to start if available, according to the Hurricanes. He has won each of his six starts this season. Carolina anticipates keeping its group of skaters unchanged.

Logan Stankoven enters with three goals in his past two games and seven this season, tied for the team lead. The game at Enterprise Center is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET.
