Hershey Bears Sign Forward Kyle Jackson to AHL Deal

The Hershey Bears signed forward Kyle Jackson to an American Hockey League contract for the 2026-27 season, the team announced on August 26.

Jackson, 23, split last season between the ECHL's Bloomington Bison and the AHL's Hartford Wolf Pack. In 38 games with Bloomington, he recorded 44 points (17 goals, 27 assists), finishing fourth in team scoring. He led the ECHL with an 11-game home point streak from October 18 to December 13 and was named to the 2026 ECHL All-Star Classic roster before earning a recall to Hartford. With the Wolf Pack, Jackson appeared in 12 games and tallied two points (one goal, one assist).

The 6-foot-2, 190-pound forward has 14 career AHL games between Wilkes-Barre/Scranton and Hartford, with two points. Over three professional seasons in the ECHL with Kansas City, Wheeling, and Bloomington, he has posted 140 points (58 goals, 82 assists) in 158 games. According to hersheybears.com, his 140 points are the second most over the last three seasons by an ECHL player under the age of 24 entering the upcoming campaign.

Before turning pro, the Ottawa native played 186 games for the North Bay Battalion in the Ontario Hockey League, collecting 170 points (71 goals, 99 assists). Seattle selected him in the seventh round (196th overall) of the 2022 NHL Draft.

Hershey opens the 2026-27 season on October 3 at GIANT Center against the Charlotte Checkers.
