Griffins recall Tag Bertuzzi and Nolan Moyle from Toledo

Grand Rapids recalled two forwards from its ECHL affiliate, reversing part of an earlier assignment before two preseason games with Cleveland.

The Grand Rapids Griffins recalled forwards Tag Bertuzzi and Nolan Moyle from the Toledo Walleye on Friday, the AHL club announced. Earlier the same day, Grand Rapids had assigned both players to its ECHL affiliate as part of a five-player move.

The Griffins play the Cleveland Monsters in two preseason games Saturday and Sunday at the Huntington Center in Toledo. Grand Rapids opens its AHL regular season at Cleveland's Rocket Arena on Friday, Oct. 2.

The club did not specify a role for either recalled player in the weekend games.
