Golden Knights Send Nine To Henderson, Waive Five More
Vegas trimmed its camp roster to 28 on Wednesday, with the Silver Knights set to absorb most of the group.
The Vegas Golden Knights assigned nine players to AHL Henderson on Wednesday and placed five more on waivers with the intention of sending them to the Silver Knights, trimming the NHL camp roster to 28 players.
The nine sent directly to Henderson: forwards Mathieu Cataford, Jackson Hallum, Mitch McLain, Matyas Sapovaliv, Tuomas Uronen and Alex Weiermair, defenceman Viliam Kmec, and goaltenders Carl Lindbom and Cameron Whitehead.
The five placed on waivers are Jeremy Davies, Jakub Demek, Joe Fleming, Adam Ginning and Jaycob Megna. If they clear, they can join Henderson in time for the start of the AHL season.
That is a large share of a Silver Knights roster arriving in one day, including two goaltenders in Lindbom and Whitehead, plus a defence group that could include Davies, Ginning, Megna and Kmec depending on how waivers shake out.
Three players remain unavailable to Vegas for now. Ben Hemmerling, Lukas Cormier and Kai Uchacz are all listed as week to week with injuries.
Five prospects were returned to their junior clubs for the start of the 2026-27 season: Sean Burick, Will McLaughlin, Mateo Nobert, Noel Pakarinen and Jonah Sivertson.
Vegas still has preseason work left. The Golden Knights host the Utah Mammoth at T-Mobile Arena on Thursday night, with puck drop scheduled for 7 p.m. PT, and close the exhibition schedule Saturday against the San Jose Sharks.
