Golden Knights lock up Braeden Bowman for six years
The 23-year-old forward signed a six-year extension Thursday with a $3.4 million average annual value after splitting last season between Vegas and Henderson.
Braeden Bowman is staying in Vegas for a while. The 23-year-old forward signed a six-year extension on Sept. 10 that begins in 2027-28, carrying a $3.4 million average annual value, setting him up for what could be his first full NHL season.
Bowman played 54 games for the Golden Knights last season, putting up eight goals and 18 assists. He also registered 26 points in 20 games with Vegas' American Hockey League affiliate in Henderson in 2025-26.
His best stretch came early, when captain Mark Stone was injured and Bowman stepped into a bigger role. He scored in three straight games and had at least a point in five consecutive.
"That's my goal, to become a full-time player for the Knights," Bowman said Tuesday at the team's golf tournament. "I'm excited. I think the team is looking really good again. Obviously, Vegas always has a strong team. So I'm just trying to establish my identity on the team, and we'll see how it goes."
Vegas is coming off a run to the Stanley Cup Final, where it lost to Carolina in six games. Vegas opens its regular season against Chicago on Sept. 29.
